Due to a limitation in the QBA file format, QB Manager is unable to determine the version of Quickbooks that is appropriate.
Up to and including QuickBooks 2007, each QBA file included information detailing the version of Quickbooks that last accessed the file.
With the introduction of the QBi Series in 2008, this information was not placed in the QBA file and no replacement has been made for this information.
With no access to this information, QB Manager is unable to determine the appropriate version of Quickbooks to associate with the file.
QB Manager retains support for versioning for the QBW; QBB and QBX file formats.
